This is an amazing book. I love to dream about all the ways I'd like to change my house. My mind constantly runs wild with ideas. Every so often, I rearrange rooms in my house. I think it drives Scott crazy. He talks to me about technical stuff all the time and since I sit and listen to him, I require him to listen to all my decorating ideas. I have collected pictures and ideas over the years and can't wait until I can afford to put my ideas into action. If you love decorating, then I highly recommend this book.

Recommended Reading
One of my favorite places to go is Barnes and Noble. I simply LOVE it there! I love the combination of the coffee smell mixed with the smell of new books. I love to find a comfy chair and gather a stack of magazines. Since Sinclair has entered the picture, I have only done this one time... HOW SAD! For Mother's Day, Scott got me a gift card for there. I finally had a chance to go there this week, and I knew exactly what I wanted to buy... The DOMINO Book of Decorating.

Do you know the Muffin Woman?
I don't know what's up with me, but I've been on a muffin kick lately. I found a blog that has tons of recipes and they are mostly organized by the South Beach Diet (not that I'm dieting but its nice to find some low carb recipes). Her egg muffins recipe looked tasty. I tried it out yesterday with some crumbled bacon. I forgot to add shredded cheese and the spike seasoning. I must say that they didn't turn out quite like I wanted. Here is a picture and the picture doesn't look really tasty either! Not sure if I'll categorize it as a failure or not. Its edible but just not super tasty.

Today, I made pumpkin muffins from scratch. I can't believe I made it from scratch! I totally feel like Martha Stewart! I got the recipe here from 5dollardinners.com and they are YUMMY!!! Who knows what I'll whip up next?!?

Caught on Camera
We don't have a video monitor because the one we purchased back before she was born picked up someone else's baby! That was a little weird so instead we put in a webcam. That way, we are the only ones who can see her since it requires a password. I peaked in on her this morning during her nap to see if she had fallen asleep and here is what I saw.

This just made me smile and giggle! I love that her little legs are curled up.

Print Your Blog
I was reading on another blogsite and discovered a place where you can turn your blog into a book. Since I'm not into scrapbooking, this might be a good alternative. If I blog long enough, I may look into doing this.

(STARBUCKS)RED Card

The (STARBUCKS)RED Card is one of my favorite things so I wanted to share it with you. Check out their site here.
Every time you buy a (STARBUCKS)RED product or pay with your (STARBUCKS)RED Card*, they make a contribution to the Global Fund to help people living with HIV in Africa. They've already generated contributions equalling more than 4,000,000 daily doses of life-sustaining treatment. That's incredible! I LOVE Starbucks and I can help give back each time I buy something there simply by using my (STARBUCKS)RED Card. If your store doesn't have the (STARBUCKS)RED Card, then you can purchase one online here.

Drama Queen
I'm not sure if its the age or the teething, but Sinclair is quite the Drama Queen. She gets so angry when I tell her "No" or take something away from her. Last week was rough because she had a cold which made her even grumpier. Friday we went over to Ryleigh's house. She loves Ryleigh but Sinclair was just not happy on Friday. Sinclair was standing on the floor next to the activity table when I took something from her. She completely lost it and melted. I walked away to get a paper towel and heard a big "thump." I turned around and she had passed out and fell on the floor! I wanted to burst into tears. This is about the 5th time she's passed out from holding her breath while crying but she had always done so in my arms or while lying down, never while standing. So, needless to say, the rest of the play date was a little rough. She cried every time Ryleigh tried to take something from her. All in all, it was fun for me and Ryleigh's mom, Kara, to talk but Sinclair was no fun. Here are a couple of pictures of the girls in their swimsuits.

I only got two pictures because Sinclair starting crying and had to put the camera down.

Favorite Movie

I am really excited right now because my favorite movie is on ... YOU'VE GOT MAIL!!! I have seen this film countless times. My best friend, Lisa, and I used to watch this movie almost everyday in college. We would just have it on in the background as we did whatever. I have so many favorite quotes from this movie but my favorite is when Kathleen Kelly describes the mystery online man that he has "152 insights into my soul!" I guess you have to see the movie to appreciate the line :-)

4th of July Weekend
We loaded up and headed back to TN this past weekend. We have been there several weekends over the past couple of months. We had a great weekend with the exception of Sinclair's cold. Its the first time in her little life that she's had a cough. And boy, is she pitiful! Got to love teething!
Friday night we celebrated my parents both turning 60. My sister-in-law, aunt and myself planned the party. I hate that I didn't take pictures but I was scrambling around chasing after Sinclair and preparing dinner. We had BBQ Chicken, Broccoli Casserole, Mac & Cheese Casserole, Bread and Salad. It was YUMMY!! We also had cake and ice cream. Scott's mom drew in colored pencils pictures of my parents house and barn. I will try to get a picture of the picture (hehe) to post here. She is an incredible artist!! On a side note, she did a portrait of Sinclair that is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!! If you are interested in something like that, I'll put you in contact with her. Here's her drawing and the original picture.

Sinclair spent most of the weekend being fussy since she didn't feel well. The only thing that pleased her Friday night was sucking on the corn cob. Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

here are my parents with all the grandkids

We went to the lake on Saturday to my 2nd cousin's house and they had 11 kittens! Sinclair took her first boat ride and she was NOT a fan! She also ate ice cream for the 2nd time and I am convinced that it was the reason she was up so much in the night.

Somehow she always ends up playing in the rocks

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Sinclair had so much fun playing with Photo Booth on my computer. (She actually cried when we stopped.)
She also had ice cream for the first time yesterday. My friend, Sarah, came over for dinner last night. I made a new recipe called Tuscan Chicken Simmer from Kraft Foods which was delicious!!! Then, we went to Bruster's for ice cream. Sinclair had her own little cone. She ate the whole thing!

New Workspace
Before Sinclair was born, I used to have a desk/workspace in the basement. After she was born, I never really worked down there. Soon later, Scott began renovating the basement so I was guaranteed to not have an office there anymore. I work two days a week from the reThink office but work from home on the other days. I usually work on the couch, but I have finally had enough of that. I really wanted to buy a used desk/armoire (or one from the outlet) from Ballard Designs. That may happen one day but in the meantime, I decided to take over the "mail center." It is nestled in a nook in the back of the living room. We really only use it for storage of junk but today it is now my desk. I'm sure great, meaningful thoughts will be written and recorded in history at this new desk ... HAHA!
